The Buffalo Bills, according to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, require a new stadium.

The Bills’ current contract at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, expires in 2023, and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has urged the team to build a new stadium supported by a public-private partnership, saying, “You’ve got to think long-term.”
Buffalo’s ownership, led by Terry and Kim Pegula, has filed a $1.4 billion plan for a new stadium.
Commissioner Roger Goodell has urged the Bills to build a new stadium. The Bills, who have played in Orchard Park since 1973, have been putting pressure on local governments to assist them in the construction of the stadium.
“This has been going on for decades, and it’s time to get a new stadium built so the Bills can be here and successful for many, many decades to come,” Goodell said.
“You can’t really do planning and designs on things until you have a deal,” Pegula Sports and Entertainment spokesperson Jim Wilkinson told WIVB-TV. “Right now, the city of Buffalo and the state (of New York) are going to have to decide if they want a team.”

Ray Lewis, ranked No. 17 in the NFL 100, ‘was the perfect defensive player’ when he entered the league, despite being undersized.

The Athletics’ initiative to select the 100 greatest players in football history is known as the NFL 100.
We’ll reveal new members of the list every day until the season starts, starting with the No.
On Wednesday, September 1st, one player will be crowned.
8.It was the entire experience that drew me in.
Ray Lewis defined a football Sunday in Baltimore for 17 years, with his pregame dances, passionate speeches, and crushing hits. When Ray Lewis was drafted by the Ravens in 1996, the team didn’t have a logo, jerseys, a state-of-the-art football stadium, or a contemporary training facility.
The Ravens had become one of the most recognized and dependable franchises in the league by the time his “final ride” ended in a sea of confetti in February 2013.
The two gleaming Lombardi trophies on display in the lobby of their magnificent training facility serve as proof. One of the players most responsible for the franchise’s success is now immortalized in bronze in front of the team’s downtown stadium, inviting a fan base that has embraced the team’s blue-collar, defensive-minded approach. There stands Lewis, 9 feet tall and 1,200 pounds, a fittin’s son, a fittin’s son.
Lewis is posing, preening, and encouraging his teammates to follow in his footsteps. Few NFL players are as synonymous with a franchise as Lewis is with the Ravens.
That hasn’t changed in the more than eight years since his final game. “He could motivate not only a defense, but an entire community,” said former Tennessee Titans running back Eddie George, a longtime foe of Lewis’.

Floyd Reese’s fingerprints are all over the Titans and Nashville, and they’re better for it.

TAMPA, Florida –
— John Robinson sat in a Raymond James Stadium suite Saturday night, watching his Tennessee Titans beat the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers 34-3, and, like most Titans fans, he probably walked away loving Caleb Farley’s performance, disliking parts of the reserve offensive line’s play, and wondering if Sam Ficken would be his kicker.
After a long fight with cancer, he died on Saturday at the age of 73.
Robinson said he received numerous texts on Saturday from fans across the league expressing their admiration for Reese, the best general manager in Titans/Oilers history.
“I think probably the best way I could sum it up would be, when I took the job here in Tennessee, (then-president and CEO) Steve Underwood called me in his office,” Robinson told The Athletic on Saturday.
“‘Hi, I just wanted to share something with you,’ Steve remarked.
Floyd Reese and I last spoke on the day we let him leave as GM (in 2006).
That is, until last week, when he contacted me on your behalf and gave me a call.
He thinks highly of you, and considering the last chat I had with him, I believe it says a lot about him that he would pick up the phone and vouch for you like that.

To attend college football games, the Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers will require vaccination documentation or a negative COVID-19 test.

OREGON, EUGENE
— Oregon and Oregon State were the first Power 5 schools to declare that persons above the age of 12 will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test in order to attend football games.
The decision was taken with public health authorities and “peer institutions in the state,” according to Oregon’s release on Friday. The negative test result must be from within three days of the event.
The mandate takes effect on Monday, ending a week in which state officials warned of fast filling hospitals as daily recorded cases hit new highs.
Several Pac-12 colleges have mandated that students and employees get vaccinated or request for an exemption.
On September 1, the Oregon football team will kick off its season at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, which has a capacity of 54,000.
Fresno State was defeated by a score of 4 to 1.
On September 1, Oregon State kicks off its home schedule at Reser Stadium.
Hawaii is favored by 11 points.
Due to a recent COVID-19 spike, Hawaii became the first major college football school to announce that it would have no fans in attendance for its first sporting activities of the season.
Hawaii’s first home football game is scheduled for September.
Against Portland State, the score was 5 to 1.
The announcements come just a week after Tulane University in New Orleans became the first NCAA Division I institution to require proof of vaccination or a negative test to attend sporting events.
Tulane’s decision was prompted by a city rule that also affects the NFL’s New Orleans Saints, although school officials said they were working to implement the policy on their own.

The Atlanta Falcons are the first NFL club to achieve a vaccination rate of 100 percent.

The Atlanta Falcons are the first NFL team to achieve a 100% vaccination rate. The Atlanta Falcons have completed their team-wide COVID-19 vaccination. All of the Atlanta Falcons’ players have gotten the COVID-19 vaccine, making them the first NFL team to do so.
Because of their vaccination status, the players will not be subjected to daily testing and will not be required to wear masks while visiting the team’s facilities.
The COVID-19 immunizations have been a cause of dispute for some in the league, as a few of the league’s top players have resisted reporting their status publicly.
After navigating various scheduling changes last season to carry out its full slate of games, the Falcons will be able to field a full-strength line-up at their home Mercedes Benz Stadium during the next season. The NFL told teams last month that COVID-19 outbreaks among non-vaccinated players during the 2021 season might lead to forfeits and loss of pay if games cannot be rescheduled.
All NFL coaches, front-office executives, equipment managers, and scouts must be vaccinated.
The defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ head coach, Bruce Arians, told reporters earlier this month that he expects his team to be close to 100 percent vaccinated for their season opener against the Dallas Cowboys on September 9.

At the Rams-Chargers preseason game, a massive NFL fan brawl breaks out (video).

INGLEWOOD, CALIFORNIA – AUGUST 14: Supporters watch the Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams play in a preseason game at SoFi Stadium on August 14, 2021 in Inglewood, California.
(Picture courtesy of Getty Images/Katelyn Mulcahy) Field of Dreams turned reality by Mark Carman The Rams and Chargers faced off in preseason with fans in the stands.
While it’s a beautiful sight, it also serves as a stark warning of what may go wrong.
The Chargers defeated the Rams in their preseason opener, and because both teams are based in Los Angeles, neither crowd had to travel far to witness their team play.
Chase Daniel led the Chargers to win despite the fact that neither Matthew Stafford nor Justin Herbert played a single snap.
The Rams’ Duck Hodges took the majority of the snaps.
Yet, the main plot unfolded in the spectators rather than on the field of play.
A violent brawl broke out between fans, spilling across numerous rows of spectators.

Supporters are eventually excluded from all NFL games, since you can sure the Rams have the same video evidence we do.
Except on the field, violence is not tolerated at NFL games.
While emotions will run high from game to game, it’s crucial to keep things in perspective rather than allowing words, or in some cases, drink, to get in the way of an otherwise enjoyable experience.

Next year’s Challenge Cup final will be held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium rather than Wembley Stadium.

The 2022 rugby league Challenge Cup final will be held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium instead of Wembley Stadium on May 28, according to the RFL.
“The RFL is happy to welcome a two-year extension to Betfred’s association with the Men’s, Women’s, and Wheelchair Challenge Cups – which will include an historic Final at the great Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in May 2022, before a return to Wembley Stadium in 2023,” according to a statement from the RFL.
“The 2022 Betfred Challenge Cup Final will be held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, May 28. It will be the 121st Challenge Cup Final, and the first to be held in May since St Helens defeated Wigan in Cardiff in 2004.
“It will be the first Rugby League match in the state-of-the-art, 62,850-capacity stadium – England’s third largest football stadium, which opened in April 2019 – following the cancellation of a Test match scheduled for the 2020 Ashes Series between England and Australia due to the Covid-19 outbreak.”
“In 2023, the Betfred Challenge Cup Final will be held at Wembley Stadium.”
Since the daring decision to bring the game’s greatest occasion to the city for the first time in 1929, that will be the 80th Challenge Cup Final at Wembley.”
