After being removed from Roku devices for almost a year, Spectrum TV is now available again.

If they hadn’t already done so in December, Charter Spectrum customers were unable to download the Spectrum TV app from Roku’s Channel Store.
When the two firms were unable to reach an agreement on the contract’s renewal, Roku removed the app from its store to prohibit fresh downloads.
Today, it appears that they have finally reached an agreement that benefits both of them, as the Spectrum TV app has returned to the Roku Channel Store.
Customers only need to login in using their Charter broadband account credentials to enjoy live and on-demand programming.
When the app was removed from the store, Spectrum stated that “despite [its] best efforts,” Roku had declined its offer to renew its contract. The business subsequently informed consumers that they could still use the app on their phones and tablets, as well as on Samsung TV, Apple TV, and Xbox One.
The companies didn’t share the details of the new partnership, but subscribers can now download the Spectrum TV app after eight months, according to a Roku spokeswoman.
“We’re thrilled to announce with you that Roku and Charter Communications have renewed our partnership to offer the Spectrum TV channel on your Roku device,” they wrote in an email to subscribers. Users may find the channels available through the app on the Spectrum website.
Bravo, CNN, CNBC, Fox, NFL, SyFy, NatGeo, and HBO Max are among the channels available, albeit access is contingent on a subscription.

The 85% COVID-19 vaccination criteria was met by half of the NFL teams.

There’s good news concerning the NFL’s immunization efforts less than 24 hours after word went public that the league might order teams to forfeit and withhold compensation if a game cannot be played as scheduled this season due to a COVID-19 epidemic among unvaccinated workers.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, 16 NFL teams have reached the 85% COVID-19 vaccination threshold required for the easing of some health and safety standards, up from 14 teams the day before.
Furthermore, according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk, 80% of NFL players have had at least one vaccination shot.
Judy Battista of NFL Media reported on Thursday that 78% of players had received at least one shot.
According to Smith, nine teams have vaccinated over 90% of their players, while only five clubs have vaccinated fewer than 70% of their players ahead of the weekend.
Many NFL personalities, like Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield and Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer, have stated that greater immunization rates within a team gives that team a competitive edge, while unvaccinated players will have a harder time when training camps begin since they’ll have to follow criteria similar to those employed in 2020 when numerous vaccines were required.
Although the NFL and the NFL Players Association do not require players to be vaccinated in order to compete in the 2018 season, the letter released Thursday made it clear that those who do not receive the injections are endangering more than their own health.

Apple is looking for a huge TV+ production location in Los Angeles, which may be more than half a million square feet in size.

Apple is looking for a production campus in Los Angeles, according to the Wall Street Journal, as it continues to invest in original content production.
The location might be over half a million square feet in size, with soundstages primarily for Apple TV+ productions to shoot on.
In addition to the numerous staging facilities it rents around the world, the production hub would be a new addition.
Because the available soundstages to hire are frequently filled months in advance, having permanent production stages has become crucial for streaming services.
Streaming corporations are increasingly purchasing huge sites for their own exclusive usage in order to keep content production farms running smoothly.
According to the WSJ, Mike Mosallam, an Apple retail executive, joined the company in January 2021 to head its soundstage expansion.
Apple already has a large 128,000 square foot property in the upscale Culver City neighborhood, which is being rebuilt to become the Apple TV+ headquarters (seen above).
Initially, it will house roughly 1000 employees.
Apple predicted in April that by 2026, the number would have risen to 3000.
Apple TV+’s content offering is dwarfed by all of its streaming competitors, at least in terms of total title count, due to the lack of a back-catalog library.
To entice members, the company is steadily establishing a premium selection of high-quality original TV episodes and movies.
Apple’s land investments are yet another indication of the company’s commitment to unique content.
Apple TV+ may also extend into live sports by streaming NFL Sunday Ticket games, according to persistent speculations. They include movie studio A24, Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, and hazy suggestions that Apple TV+ may expand into live sports by streaming NFL Sunday Ticket games.
