Should you invest in a Clyde Edwards-Helaire post-hype breakthrough in your fantasy football draft?

Clyde Edwards-Helaire was regarded as one of the best running back prospects for the 2020 NFL Draft.
The question was whether the LSU standout’s skillset would transition to the NFL in a three-down role, or if he’d need the ideal landing site.
When the Kansas City Chiefs picked Edwards-Helaire with the 32nd overall choice in the first round, it gave the entire football world cause to believe.
The 5-foot-7, 207-pound rushing back might have made an impact in the NFL regardless of where he landed, but the Chiefs were seen as the best-case scenario by many because of their high-powered offense and head coach Andy Reid’s track record with running backs.
After teammate Damien Williams opted out of the 2020 season, Edwards-Helaire’s stock skyrocketed, giving the rookie a clear road to three-down work.

Preseason OT watch list for the 2022 NFL Draft includes Evan Neal, Charles Cross, and Nicholas Petit-Frere.

The last two NFL Draft classes have been the answer to a league’s prayers for young, talented offensive lineman performance, with eight tackles taken in the top 20 picks.
Will the 2022 class continue this pattern at a position where numerous teams have a critical need?
Possibilities
The top five offensive tackles on this list aren’t the most well-known players, but they all have the potential to be first-round picks in April if they keep improving.

Best quarterbacks and sleepers to watch in college fantasy football in 2021

With the start of the college football season approaching, CFBDynasty has just announced their new college fantasy football rankings for 2021.
The heavily discussed quarterback position is at the top of these lists, and it’s critical for a successful NCAA fantasy football season.
While the list includes all of the top quarterbacks in the FBS, there are still some sleepers who will put up big numbers on Saturday!
Malik Willis, Liberty’s standout singnal-caller, is at the top of this list.
Willis, who racked up over 1,000 rushing yards and 2,300 throwing yards last season, exemplifies the value of a dual-threat quarterback.
Fantasy quarterbacks with an incredible number of passing attempts, yards, and touchdowns are produced by air-raid systems, and they have plenty of stand-alone value.
Nonetheless, Willis is Liberty’s primary offensive weapon, and he’ll undoubtedly put up big numbers this season.
Oklahoma’s gunslinger and former No. 1 overall pick
Spencer Rattler, the No. 1 overall recruit, is just behind him and will seek to win the Heisman Trophy in his second year as a starter.
DOMINATE YOUR COLLEGE FANTASY DRAFT: JOIN CFBDynasty This year’s free preview list features seven quarterbacks from the Atlantic Coast Conference (the majority of whom are ranked in the top 40), a conference that isn’t known for producing successful offenses outside of Clemson.

Best wide receivers and sleepers to watch in college fantasy football in 2021

It’s time to start thinking about your college fantasy football draft, whether you’re a big-time college fantasy football addict or simply a casual player.
Wide receiver is a crucial position.
Even talented wideouts rely on their quarterbacks and offensive concepts to be successful, so determining which WR will have the best season takes a lot of effort.
Fortunately, CFBDynasty took care of it!
They recently released their WR rankings for the 2021 CFB season, and they’re giving SN readers a sneak peek at the top 50.
Purdue’s David Bell is the top receiver on the list.
Bell’s 2020 numbers may not catch your eye, but with a solid 6-2, 205-pound physique and a steady quarterback in Austin Burton, the potential NFL standout is poised to have a big-time breakout this season.
With a pass-first offense, he has a lot of potential, and he’ll no likely have a chance to show the rest of the CFB world what he’s capable of.
The SEC has nine top-50 wideouts this year, followed by the Big Ten with eight.
The Big 12 is known for being an air-raid, high-passing-volume league, so it may surprise you to learn that it only has four wide receivers in the top 50.
These “spread” offenses spread the ball around, making more wide receivers valuable in general but not necessarily the best targets.

The contract disagreement between the New York Jets and Zach Wilson is a horrible look, and it makes no sense.

FLORHAM PARK, NEW JERSEY
— The New York Jets reminded everyone Wednesday that not everything has changed for the better after a promising offseason that reenergized their fan base.
Rookie quarterback Zach Wilson, the Jets’ No. 1 quarterback, is the team’s new face.
On the opening day of training camp, the No. 2 overall draft pick this year was nowhere to be found.
Mike White, a former practice squad player who has yet to participate in an NFL game, was in charge of the first-team offense.
Fans would have booed the Jets if there had been an open practice, and rightfully so.
Thirty-one of the 32 first-round picks are currently under contract.
The only person who isn’t…
You already know the answer.
The Jets had an ugly day when they fumbled in the open field.
Wilson’s rookie contract amount is determined by his draft position, which is No.
New York only needs to cross a few Ts and fill in a few spaces on the contract.
Wilson’s agents and the Jets are battling over contract language, not money.
The offset clause, which protects the team financially if Wilson is cut before the end of his four-year, $35.2 million contract (which is fully guaranteed), is the main sticking point.
During the first day of #JetsCamp, Coach Saleh addresses to the media.
Let’s be clear: A dispute over an offset isn’t unique to the Jets. https://t.co/Q5QBEk6WlB — New York Jets (@nyjets) July 28, 2021
Every group has to cope with it.
In reality, except for the Los Angeles Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars, 30 of the 32 teams (including the Jets) routinely incorporate offsets in contracts with guaranteed money.
So, why are the Jets the only team without a deal in place for their first-round draft pick?
Another issue is the payment timetable for Wilson’s $22 million signing bonus.
It came up in the Jets’ 2018 contract negotiations with quarterback Sam Darnold, and the team paid the whole bonus within 15 days of Darnold signing.
It’s unclear why the Jets are attempting to delay some of Wilson’s salary.
This isn’t rocket science; it’s just a straightforward contract discussion.
Exacerbating the problem, the Jets passed on bringing in a seasoned quarterback in the summer, putting all their hopes in Wilson.
On a number of levels, that was a poor judgment.
No disrespect to White and James Morgan, a fourth-round pick in 2020 with little professional experience, but the Jets have no other choices.
They faced a similar predicament when Darnold was forced to miss three practices due to a contract issue.
They had veterans Josh McCown and Teddy Bridgewater on the roster at the time, so there was less of a sense of urgency.
This isn’t the case.
Wilson must report to camp as soon as possible.
Each and every rep is crucial.
The Jets have 20 sessions and three preseason games to prepare him for the start of the regular season in September.
12 against the Panthers of Carolina
Every day he misses hurts him.
Every day the receiving corps is harmed is a loss.
It was a dunk-and-dunk contest on Wednesday, with White and Morgan tossing practically everything under 10 yards.
In a new offensive strategy, this is not the way to create chemistry.
The Jets haven’t yet reached a critical juncture.
Wilson may walk up on Thursday or Friday, and by the following week, this shambles will be forgotten.
But for the time being, it’s a bad look.
When was the last time coach Robert Saleh “needed” Wilson in camp?
“Ask me again tomorrow,” he added, smiling. Saleh tried to put on a brave face, saying nice things about White and Morgan, but you can bet he’s eager to get his QB1 into camp.
He has to follow the company line in public, but no one believes his happy talk.
What about that fantastic offseason?
Each day that the contract issue drags on, it loses some of its sparkle.
For the first time since 2019, supporters turn out to watch training camp on Saturday.
The supporters will bring a Bronx cheer to New Jersey if Wilson isn’t on the field.

Texans want to deal Deshaun Watson for high draft picks, according to speculations.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, the Texans are eager to move Deshaun Watson and have been listening to trade offers “for quite some time.”
According to the source, the Texans are hoping for at least three first-round picks in exchange for Watson.
Houston is seeking a combination of five high draft picks and starting-caliber players, according to ESPN.
According to ESPN’s Sarah Barshop, the Texans do not believe they have received a “real offer.”
Watson requested a trade from the team in January, and barely two months later, the first of 23 lawsuits alleging sexual assault and inappropriate behavior were filed against him.
Despite the fact that he is not facing criminal charges, the NFL may punish him for the civil claims by suspending him.
There has been no sign that the Texans were willing to part with Watson until recently.
Watson arrived in training camp on Sunday, as first reported by NFL Network, to escape a $50,000 daily fee, according to ESPN.
His attitude on a trade, though, has not changed, and he restated his wish when he arrived at camp.
To be transferred to another team, the Texans quarterback would have to renounce his no-trade provision.

Trade speculations surround Deshaun Watson, and here’s how much the Texans may get for him.

The Houston Texans appear to have accepted the truth that Deshaun Watson will not be their starting quarterback for much longer.
In the aftermath of Watson’s offseason trade request, there were already indicators that Houston was preparing for his eventual exit.
It re-signed veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor in free agency and selected Stanford quarterback Davis Mills with their first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
The organization is now reportedly considering trade offers for Watson.
He will, however, not be cheap.
The Texans are still reportedly looking to move Watson for a package that includes “at least three first-round selections and more,” according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. The #Texans are now willing to listen — and have been for some time — to trade offers for star quarterback Deshaun Watson, several sources tell me and @RapSheet.
Yet, for a player of his ability, the price is excessive, and it should be.
It would almost certainly necessitate at least three first-round picks, if not more.
But, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that the price might be considerably higher, with a combination of five high draft picks and starting-caliber players. — Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) July 26, 2021
According to two league executives, the @Texans paid Deshaun Watson a combination of five high draft picks and starting-caliber players.
Despite his evident potential, it’s difficult to picture an NFL team paying that price for the 25-year-old QB. — Chris Mortensen (@mortreport) July 26, 2021
What is the reason for this?
He is the subject of 23 legal cases alleging inappropriate behavior and sexual assault.
In addition to the potential legal action stemming from these claims, Watson might face an NFL penalty.
It could explain why no team has approached Watson about waiving his no-trade clause in order to facilitate a trade.
Teams will likely avoid Watson until his legal concerns are handled.
But it won’t stop the Texans from marketing him in order to speed up what could be a lengthy rebuilding process.

Jason Lloyd’s mailbag includes the Browns being protected in an expansion draft, the Cavaliers’ future, and Indians extension prospects.

On Reddit, someone asked, “Who would the Browns leave unprotected if the NFL were to create an expansion team in the same manner the NHL is introducing the Kraken this year?”
— Riley C.I try to keep away from Reddit as much as possible, and I despise hypotheticals that will never happen.
So let’s get started!
(Actually, this is just giving you all another reason to yell at me.) Let’s say the Browns can protect 26 players plus all rookies and second-year men under these circumstances.
That means Jedrick Wills Jr., Jedrick Wills, Jedrick Wills, Jedrick Wills, Je

Predictions, previews, team news, and more for Indianapolis Colts Training Camp 2021.

Last season, the Indianapolis Colts enjoyed a successful season.
The Colts went 11-5 with Phillip Rivers and a talented receiving corps, tying the Tennessee Titans for the best record in the AFC South, but had to settle for a wild-card position in the playoffs.
After a hard-fought struggle against the Buffalo Bills in the wild-card round, the Colts’ playoff run came to an end at the first hurdle.
The franchise has used free agency and the NFL draft to add to their depth, with the hopes that Frank Reich can once again lead the Colts to the top of the AFC South.
The Indianapolis Colts quarterback room will look drastically different this season with Rivers retiring and backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett signing with the Dolphins.
They acquired quarterback Carson he from the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a 2021 third-round selection pick and a conditional second-round draft pick in 2022 that may become a first-round pick depending on how many snaps Wentz plays.
Wentz has reunited with Frank Reich, his former Eagles offensive coordinator, who many believe will help him resurrect his career.
Wentz has the ability and talent to help the Colts make huge improvements if he can remain healthy for the full season.
T.Y. Hilton, a seasoned wide receiver, might be re-signed by the organization.
This offseason, Hilton has a significant advantage on a number of fronts.
Hilton is a leader on and off the field who can assist a youthful receiving corps.
In addition, the Colts improved their defense by drafting edge Kwity Paye in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
To add depth to the quarterback room, the team also selected quarterback Sam Ehlinger in the sixth round.

Jacob Eason, a 2020 fourth-round pick, and rookie Sam Ehlinger will compete for that place in training camp.
The struggle for WR3 is another position battle to watch at Indianapolis Colts training camp.
Parris Campbell and Zach Pascal will be vying for the role, while Hilton and Michael Pittman Jr. will also be vying for it.
as the offense’s top two receivers
In 2020, Pascal was dependable, and Campbell showed promise by catching over 60% of his passes.
Pascal, on the other hand, might have the upper hand.
In any case, the Colts may wish to combine the two in various systems.
Indianapolis has a distinct advantage because to Marlon Mack’s balanced approach. Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines are rising talents in the Colts backfield.

Mack had a promising rookie season in 2017, but he hasn’t been able to maintain that level of output since.
Nyheim Hines, on the other hand, was a standout for the Indianapolis Colts in 2020 and could easily defeat Mack.

Preseason WR watch list for the 2022 NFL Draft includes Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, and Treylon Burks.

In recent years, the NFL has seen an exciting surge of wide receiver talent, with 11 first-round picks at the position in the last two drafts.
Last summer, we predicted that LSU’s JaMarr Chase would be a top-10 draft choice.
At this point in the process, there is no receiving prospect in the NFL Draft class of 2022 who is regarded a top 20 lock, but there is plenty of buzz around the league about the group’s potential talent.
Even if this year’s receiving class falls short of the previous two, the position will still be a strength in the 2022 draft.
Without the durability concerns, two wide receiver prospects, Clemson’s Justyn Ross and Georgia’s George Pickens, would be significantly higher on this list.
Ross has the skills to be the first receiver drafted, but he lost the entire 2017 season due to spinal surgery, and evaluators are waiting to see how he develops.
