As the season approaches, the Rams are running low on healthy running backs.

(AP) — Before the regular season even begins, the Los Angeles Rams are running low on healthy running backs.
And, while Darrell Henderson’s recent thumb injury does not appear to be significant, the Rams must determine quickly whether they are satisfied with the unproven depth behind him.
Henderson was forced to leave practice with a strain to his thumb.
Henderson appears to be on track to be ready for the season opener, when he will be the Rams’ probable starter, owing to the fact that he is the only running back on the team with NFL experience.
