And if the quarterbacks who have thrown to Chicago Bears receiver Allen Robinson II have been as sharp or as accurate in recent years, his ranking on NFL Network’s top-100 list would be higher.
Nonetheless, Robinson is ranked No.
87: Robinson joins the NFL Top 100 list for the second year in a row after pulling in 102 catches, 1,250 receiving yards, and six touchdowns.
Robinson improves six spots from last year’s 93rd place finish, which is an incremental improvement — even if I believe he should be higher on the list.
Robinson had his greatest season with the Bears last year.
Robinson is coming off a season in which he was PFF’s fifth-highest-graded receiver, in addition to those excellent accomplishments.
Per the Pro Football Focus grading scale, only Davante Adams, Justin Jefferson, AJ Brown, and Stefan Diggs were better.
What a great way to keep excellent company!
Robinson was ranked No. 1 by PFF in June.
Right now, it has 34 players on its Top-50 list.
Can you understand why I still get the notion that the panel that compiles the NFL Networks list is undervaluing Robinson?
It’s too late to persuade any judges to change their minds.
But, before putting Robinson in the lower half of a top-100 list, I would advise people to look at the video more closely the next time:
