Travis Etienne is out indefinitely with a foot issue, according to the Jaguars.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Bob Self through Imagn Content Services, LLC, Jaguars running back Travis Etienne is sidelined indefinitely with a midfoot strain.
Before leaving Monday’s game against New Orleans, Etienne grabbed one pass for three yards and carried the ball once.
He will need more tests to ascertain the extent of his injuries, and he was seen wearing a protective boot after the game.
Jacksonville chose the former Clemson Tiger in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, making him the second former Tiger to do so.
Etienne was enthralled by the No.
The Jaguars selected ex-Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence with the No. 25 pick, 24 spots after the Jaguars selected ex-Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence with the No. 25 pick.
After the game, Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer claimed he didn’t know the extent of Etienne’s injury.
When the Jaguars face the Texans in Week 1, the rookie running back could be out of the lineup.
Etienne and his associates
will attempt to return the Jaguars to the playoffs in 2021 after a three-year absence.
Since 2000, Jacksonville has only made the playoffs three times, and the team has never made it to the Super Bowl.

Is it possible that Deshaun Watson will be a ‘healthy scratch’ for the whole 2021 season?

Deshaun Watson, the quarterback for the Houston Texans, stated that he would never play for the team again.
He might receive his dream in theory, but not in the way he envisioned.
In January, Watson demanded a trade, expressing a desire to leave the Texans organization.
Houston refused to move him, turning down offers from all over the league and doing everything they could to persuade the Pro Bowl quarterback to stay.
When the first of 22 sexual misconduct allegations against the Texans franchise quarterback surfaced, it marked the beginning of a legal saga that is still ongoing.
Watson’s NFL future is becoming increasingly questionable as he faces 22 legal lawsuits and ten criminal allegations.
The Texans are open to trading him, but only if they get their original asking price.
Given the uncertainty surrounding Watson, it’s unlikely that any team will be willing to pay the Texans’ high asking price.
Watson is stranded in Houston owing to teams’ aversion to the risks, and ESPN’s Sarah Barshop revealed on Outside the Lines that he may not play again in 2021.
“(Rusty) Hardin claims Watson hasn’t even met with NFL investigators for this, which he says is common of his clients because the NFL prefers to wait until the criminal aspect of the investigation is over before conducting the interview.”
Watson’s participation in Texans activities is currently unrestricted by the NFL.
If that doesn’t change before the start of the season, if the league doesn’t place Watson on the Commissioners Exempt list, we might see him spend the year as a healthy scratch on the Texans 53-man roster.”ESPN’s Sarah Barshop on Deshaun Watson’s Future The NFL isn’t going to rush a decision on Watson.
As the league conducts its own inquiry, which has been criticized by his accusers, it will first await the outcome of the criminal proceedings.
The worst moment to explore a trade for Watson is now for teams like the Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos, and Miami Dolphins.
Houston isn’t willing to decrease its asking price, even if it means keeping Watson and risking his worth plummeting even further.
Thus, unless anything drastic happens, he’ll be stuck on the Texans’ roster.
It’s possible that the NFL intervenes before the start of the season and places Watson on the Commissioner’s Exempt list, which is essentially paid leave.
If that happens, any time he misses may not be counted toward a possible penalty that will be imposed after the investigations are completed.
It would be surprising if Deshaun Watson played for anyone in 2021, given how he has been used in practice and where he is listed on the depth chart by the Texans.

Preview, team news, and predictions for the New York Giants vs. Cleveland Browns game on August 22nd, 2021.

The New York Giants have endured a grueling training camp, which has already resulted in two brawls.
One was against their own offense and defense, which left starting quarterback Daniel Jones at the bottom of the standings.
Joe Judge, the head coach of the New York Giants, made the entire team run as if they were in training to be Navy SEALs.
The second incident occurred on Friday, when New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard and Cleveland Browns cornerback Troy Hill threw punches at each other during a joint practice ahead of their preseason matchup in Week 2.
New York may struggle in their upcoming game based on joint practices.
Cleveland produced a scoring drive during 11-on-11 drills, while the Giants had a quick three-and-out.
After today’s joint practices, #Giants WR Sterling Shepard and #Browns CB Troy Hill squared up and were ready to throw punches.
John Ross appears to have stepped in and gotten Shepard out of there.
This is the final few seconds.

Joe Judge has yet to make a decision on the playing time of other starters, including quarterback Daniel Jones.
CB Keion Crossen, CB Josh Jackson ll, and OL Ted Larsen, all new roster additions, could see plenty of action.
After suffering a concussion, QB Clayton Thorson was dismissed and replaced by QB Brian Lewerke, who should play the most of the second half.
RIDICULOUS catch by Donovan Peoples-Jones pic.twitter.com/2ivENKXaa2 — Billy Heyen (@BillyHeyen) August 14, 2021 Cleveland Browns HC Kevin Stefanski will rest most of his starters after witnessing good work from them in joint practice.
With Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. presumably out, expect WR Donovan Peoples-Jones to continue to shine on the field.
DT Malik McDowell (who might be cut by Tuesday if he doesn’t make an impact) and LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (who is hoping to rise up the depth chart after leading the club in tackles last week) are two players to keep an eye on on defense.
Cleveland Browns 27-17 Cleveland Browns The Browns are 4.5-point favorites at -200 to win the game.
They have a chance to win by at least ten points.
After leading the Browns in tackles and tackles for loss against the Jacksonville Jaguars (8 tackles, 3 TFL, 1 sack), rookie LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah could be the game’s MVP.
After a total of 28 carries for 41 yards (1.6 yards per carry), Cleveland’s run game has to improve.
When they sort out the bottom of their WR depth chart in the second half, the New York Giants are expected to throw the ball more.
With Barkley out, RB Corey Clement could get a plenty of carries in the first quarter.

‘It’s my time,’ Andy Dalton says of the Bears’ quarterback competition with Justin Fields.

Justin Fields, a rookie quarterback, wowed the Bears crowd with a two-touchdown performance in his preseason debut on Sunday, but not everyone is ready to crown him the starter just yet. Kamil Krzaczynski/USA TODAY Sports
On Tuesday, Andy Dalton addressed his rivalry with Fields for the starting job, and he isn’t ready to relinquish his role ahead of Week 1.
“[Fields] is going to have his time and he’s going to have a wonderful career,” Dalton said. “[Fields] is going to have his time and he’s going to have a great career,” Dalton said.
“But for now, it’s my turn, so my emphasis is on being the greatest player I can be for this club,” Dalton said. The Bears meet the Rams in Week 1, so Dalton might be able to keep Fields on the bench, but it’s hard to picture Chicago sticking with the veteran quarterback into 2021.
As a starter, Dalton has a mediocre 74-66-2 record, averaging less than seven yards per attempt in three of the last four seasons.
Fields joins the Bears after being chosen with the No. 1 overall pick.
11th overall pick in the NFL draft in 2021
In two seasons at Ohio State, he made 22 starts and threw for 63 touchdowns while completing 64.8% of his passes.

Aaron Rodgers: The Packers’ 2021 trip isn’t a “farewell tour”

Aaron Rodgers isn’t looking forward to his likely final season with the Packers in 2021, telling the media on Wednesday that he doesn’t want a “farewell tour.”
“I don’t know what’s going to happen after the season,” Rodgers said. “But I’m going to enjoy it with the appropriate perspective, for sure, and not look at it as I’m getting through this.”
Following the Love selection, Rodgers stated Wednesday that “the clock has started” on his last years with the Packers, adding that he didn’t want to be a “lame duck” in 2021.
In 2020, the three-time MVP led Green Bay to the NFC Championship game, which appeared to be Rodgers’ final game with the team.
Rodgers’ desire to quit the team was reported just before the 2021 draft in April, but as training camp approached, he changed his mind.
Even if he leaves Green Bay after the 2021 season, Rodgers remains one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in franchise history.
He is the Packers’ all-time leader in touchdowns, victories, and passing yards, trailing only Brett Favre, and he has the best passer rating of any quarterback in organization history.
With Rodgers at the helm, Green Bay has made the playoffs 11 times, winning Super Bowl XLV in February 2011.

Best quarterbacks and sleepers to watch in college fantasy football in 2021

With the start of the college football season approaching, CFBDynasty has just announced their new college fantasy football rankings for 2021.
The heavily discussed quarterback position is at the top of these lists, and it’s critical for a successful NCAA fantasy football season.
While the list includes all of the top quarterbacks in the FBS, there are still some sleepers who will put up big numbers on Saturday!
Malik Willis, Liberty’s standout singnal-caller, is at the top of this list.
Willis, who racked up over 1,000 rushing yards and 2,300 throwing yards last season, exemplifies the value of a dual-threat quarterback.
Fantasy quarterbacks with an incredible number of passing attempts, yards, and touchdowns are produced by air-raid systems, and they have plenty of stand-alone value.
Nonetheless, Willis is Liberty’s primary offensive weapon, and he’ll undoubtedly put up big numbers this season.
Oklahoma’s gunslinger and former No. 1 overall pick
Spencer Rattler, the No. 1 overall recruit, is just behind him and will seek to win the Heisman Trophy in his second year as a starter.
DOMINATE YOUR COLLEGE FANTASY DRAFT: JOIN CFBDynasty This year’s free preview list features seven quarterbacks from the Atlantic Coast Conference (the majority of whom are ranked in the top 40), a conference that isn’t known for producing successful offenses outside of Clemson.

Best wide receivers and sleepers to watch in college fantasy football in 2021

It’s time to start thinking about your college fantasy football draft, whether you’re a big-time college fantasy football addict or simply a casual player.
Wide receiver is a crucial position.
Even talented wideouts rely on their quarterbacks and offensive concepts to be successful, so determining which WR will have the best season takes a lot of effort.
Fortunately, CFBDynasty took care of it!
They recently released their WR rankings for the 2021 CFB season, and they’re giving SN readers a sneak peek at the top 50.
Purdue’s David Bell is the top receiver on the list.
Bell’s 2020 numbers may not catch your eye, but with a solid 6-2, 205-pound physique and a steady quarterback in Austin Burton, the potential NFL standout is poised to have a big-time breakout this season.
With a pass-first offense, he has a lot of potential, and he’ll no likely have a chance to show the rest of the CFB world what he’s capable of.
The SEC has nine top-50 wideouts this year, followed by the Big Ten with eight.
The Big 12 is known for being an air-raid, high-passing-volume league, so it may surprise you to learn that it only has four wide receivers in the top 50.
These “spread” offenses spread the ball around, making more wide receivers valuable in general but not necessarily the best targets.
